Winners named of Belarus President's special prize for art luminaries, For Spiritual Revival prize

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has bestowed the prize For Spiritual Revival and special prizes for culture and art luminaries. The head of state signed the relevant decrees on 19 December, BelTA has learned.

The Belarus president has bestowed five prizes For Spiritual Revival in recognition of active humanitarian efforts, which helped bolster spiritual values and moral traditions of the Belarusian nation and contributed to the patriotic upbringing of young Belarusians in the year 2023.

Mother Superior of the Convent of the Patronage of the Mother of God Anfisa (Antonina Lyubchak) was awarded one of the prizes in recognition of the great personal contribution to the reinforcement of spiritual values, cultural and moral upbringing of children and young people, active participation in the restoration of cultural and historical values in Vitebsk Oblast.

The prizes were also bestowed upon

Polotsk Cadet School in recognition of fruitful efforts in the area of civic and patriotic upbringing of the younger generation;

the Gomel City Center for Inclusive Culture in recognition of active humanitarian efforts, a significant contribution to the development of creative skills and social adaption of people with reduced capabilities;

the national applied science center Mother and Child in recognition of excellent accomplishments in improving the quality of and access to medical care, popularization of family values in the society;

the Mogilev Oblast Methodic Center for Folk Art and Cultural and Educational Work in recognition of a significant contribution to the preservation of Belarus' cultural heritage and the realization of the cultural tourism project – the Kupala Night Festival (Alexandria Gathers Friends).

The Belarus president has bestowed ten special prizes upon culture and art luminaries in recognition of outstanding accomplishments in the area of theater art, music art, applied and decorative arts, in education and nurturing of creative young people, who have earned public recognition.

One of the prizes went to the collaborative writing team, which includes Deputy Head of the Department for Cultural and Educational Work, Arts, and Educational Institutions of the Culture Office of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee Olga Bogdanovich, Chairman of the Svisloch District Executive Committee Aleksandr Versotsky, and Deputy Chairwoman of the Board of the Grodno Oblast Consumer Society Yelena Chikova. They were awarded in recognition of a significant contribution to the realization of creative projects meant to preserve Belarus' traditional culture and to the organization of the baking festival Batkava Bulka [father's loaf in Belarusian].

In recognition of a significant contribution to the preservation of historic memory and truth about the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and the realization of the projects “Last Witnesses” and “Genocide. No right to live” the Belarus president bestowed a special prize upon Belarusian Telegraph Agency, the national state television and radio company Belteleradiocompany, and the Prosecutor General's Office.

The folk wind orchestra Vitiny of the Stolbtsy children's art school received a special prize of the president in recognition of a significant contribution to raising creative youth, active participation in social and cultural projects. The pop song theater Syabrynka of the Palace of Culture of Minsk Automobile Plant received a special prize of the president in recognition of development of the best traditions and accomplishments of national art, active participation in patriotic events.

Special prizes were also bestowed upon

the stage director Ivan Zhigon and the collective of the Gorky National Academic Drama Theater in recognition of a significant contribution to the preservation and popularization of Slavonic art, realization of Belarusian-Serbian creative projects;

the song writer Anna Seluk (Anna Sergeyevna Lukashenko) in recognition of a big personal contribution to the development of modern music art, realization of cultural initiatives of social importance;

the craftsman of folk music instruments Ruslan Makarevich in recognition of the fruitful work to revive musical instrument crafting traditions;

the company director of the opera troupe of Belarus' Bolshoi Theater Anastasia Moskvina in recognition of outstanding professional skills, excellent accomplishments in the sphere of music and theater art;

the resource teacher of the Grodno Oblast Methodic Center for Folk Art Yelena Shuneiko in recognition of the fruitful work meant to preserve tapestry making traditions;

the 1st Company, the 2nd Company and the orchestra of the guard of honor unit of the Minsk Military Commandant's Office in recognition of significant accomplishments in the patriotic upbringing of young people, active participation in public political and cultural events.
