Belarusian President, Chairman of the Belarusian People's Congress Aleksandr Lukashenko met with Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian People's Congress Aleksandr Kosinets and Head of the Secretariat of the Belarusian People's Congress Valery Mitskevich to receive their reports on 23 May, BelTA has learned.

The 11th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia focusing on the role of interregional cooperation in building an innovative economy of the Union State will take place in Vitebsk, Polotsk, and Novopolotsk on 26-28 June, the press service of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus told BelTA. 

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has approved a draft protocol on amending the agreement on cooperation of the CIS member states in creating compatible national telemedicine systems and their consequent development and usage of 19 November 2010. The head of state signed corresponding decree No.209 on 22 May, BelTA has learned.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Belarus Alireza Sanei thanked  Belarus for its support and solidarity with the Iranian people as he talked to journalists at the Iranian Embassy in Minsk that opened a book of condolences on 21 May following the tragic death of Iranian President  Ebrahim Raisi and a number of the country's senior officials, BelTA has learned.

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to President of Ethiopia Sahle-Work Zewde as the two countries mark 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian head of state. The strong friendship between the peoples of Belarus and Ethiopia can be considered the main achievement in the bilateral relations over this period, the Belarusian leader noted.

As part of his state visit to Azerbaijan, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko together with Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev visited the country’s territory, being rebuilt after the conflict, on 17 May, BelTA has learned.
