Belarus names squad for 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup

Head coach of the Belarusian national beach soccer team Nicolas Alvarado has named a squad for the 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, BelTA has learned.

Belarus’ squad will comprise 12 players: 

Goalkeepers: Uladzimir Ustsinovich, Mikhail Avgustov

Forwards and defenders: Vadzim Bokach, Ivan Kanstantsinau, Artsemi Drozd, Mikita Chaikouski, Yury Piatrouski, Yauheni Novikau, Ihar Bryshtsel, Yahor Hardzetski, Anatoliy Ryabko and Aleh Hapon.

In Group A Belarus will face Seychelles on 1 May, Japan on 3 May and Guatemala on 5 May.

Other groups are as follows: 

Group B – Portugal, Iran, Paraguay, Mauritania;

Group C – Tahiti, Senegal, Spain, Chile;

Group D – Brazil, Italy, Oman, Salvador.

Two best teams in each group will continue competing for medals. 

The final of the 13th edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup will be played in Seychelles on 1-11 May. Belarus played in the three previous events, placing fourth in 2024 and failing to reach the playoff stage in 2019 and 2021.
