In accordance with instructions of the Belarus president a test of combat readiness of individual units of the Armed Forces continues, BelTA learned from State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Volfovich.
Aleksandr Volfovich said: “The test covers a number of special army units: radioelectronic warfare units, air defense missile units, and units, which use unmanned aviation. These combatant arms play the most prominent role in conditions of modern combat operations. The experience of the special military operation in Ukraine confirms it.”
In his words, the test has been planned in a way to create a complicated radioelectronic environment that resembles an actual combat situation as much as possible. Army units at their permanent stations were brought to full combat readiness and marched for about 300km in the face of electromagnetic countermeasures and actions of sabotage and reconnaissance forces, including those using drones. “Practicing the counteraction of raiding forces using unmanned aviation was in focus,” the state secretary of the Security Council stressed.
Aleksandr Volfovich also said that a test of air defense missile units was nearing completion. It involved combat launches of missiles. “All the launches were successful. The targets were hit. It was confirmed by visual observation and instrumental data. However, live recording materials have been requested in order to better evaluate the performance of the inspected units. On the whole, the inspected military units accomplished their missions. They demonstrated an excellent level of training and skills. At the same time certain problems have been uncovered. They require an additional analysis in order to neutralize the shortcomings in the course of future combat training,” he said.
