Minsk launches postage stamp to mark Belarus’ EAEU chairmanship

Minsk launches postage stamp to mark Belarus’ EAEU chairmanship

The new stamp testifies to the attention paid in Belarus to the Eurasian integration,  Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Karanik told journalists at a ceremony to dedicate the postal project "Chairmanship of the Republic of Belarus in the Eurasian Economic Union in 2025" in Minsk on 15 May, BelTA learned.

"This is another clear signal of importance of Eurasian integration for Belarus. Our country suggests various initiatives: removing barriers, improving logistics, ensuring equal access to the public procurement system, promoting the unimpeded movement of goods and services. In other words, there are many issues that require additional work. But the most important thing is that they are supported by our EAEU colleagues.  In some areas, the initiatives are, to put it bluntly, revolutionary. They are designed to promote the integration of our countries, provide an opportunity for common responses to global challenges and contribute to further accelerated development of the states that are members of the EAEU," Vladimir Karanik believes.
The new stamp is the sixth such project dedicated to the Eurasian Economic Union. "A postage stamp is not a big thing, but it is a work of art. I am sure that even after many years it will serve as a reminder of Belarus' participation in the Eurasian integration. The year of Belarus’ chairmanship also coincided with the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, and this also clearly demonstrates that together our people prevailed in that terrible war, rebuilt the country and brought it back to life from the ruins. Together we will continue to respond more effectively to the global challenges of our modern world. The EAEU member countries are different but, I am confident, we will be able to complement each other, ensure the effective development not only of our economies, but also promote interpersonal communication, communication between the youth. It is very important that our young generation is taking an increasingly active part in the events held under the auspices of the EAEU, in cultural and sports projects. This is a guarantee that they will continue their effective cooperation in the field of economy and business," the deputy prime minister emphasized.
