“We value friendly relations with Kyrgyzstan. Much has been done in the bilateral format since our states became independent. Dialogue at the highest level has been intensified. Our heads of state enjoy trusting relations; we hold regular meetings in various international organizations, provide mutual support at the international level on various issues. This is especially important in today's turbulent world, amid military-political tensions,” Igor Sergeyenko said.

The speaker congratulated Kyrgyzstan on assuming chairmanship in the CSTO this year, which is a responsible mission. “We look forward to intensifying cooperation in the SCO, taking into account our new status in this organization. We need to continue supporting each other in other international organizations,” he said. “I also hope that our cooperation at the level of friendship groups will gain momentum too.” 

“This year is special - the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. Last year the heads of state signed the address on the date, its historical significance and on the importance of the historical memory,” Igor Sergeyenko emphasized. 

“The memory of your fellow countrymen, who died defending Belarus, is sacredly honored in Belarus. A monument was built in Minsk and a street was named in honor of Hero of the Soviet Union Dzhumash Asanaliev. He died heroically during the battles to liberate Vitebsk Oblast. Your famous fellow countryman, Kyrgyz and Soviet writer Chingiz Aitmatov introduced the word ‘mankurt’ to describe a person who has lost touch with his historical and national roots, who has forgotten his kinship. It is akin to a person who does not remember his homeland, his history. Therefore, it is our sacred duty to preserve this memory, including relying on the priceless literary legacy of both Chingiz Aitmatov and other Soviet writers.”
