Belarus’ first national airshow “Minsk Aero 2008’” will take place on July 3-6 in the history and culture open-air museum “Stalin Line”, director of the charity fund “Afghan War Memory” Alexander Metla told BelTA. According to him, Belarus expects guests from at least 20 countries. The show will feature demonstration flights of the Russian Knights and Strizhi (the Swifts) aerobatic groups flying SU-27 and MiG-29BM aircraft. The programme also includes the flights of small aircrafts, aerostat and aeromodeller competitions and also different contests for the audience, an exhibition of air-related products. The organisers also plan to invite Belarusian and foreign pop stars. The airshow organisers are the charity fund “Afghan War Memory” and Russian companies “Aviasalon” and “SolMediaGran”.
