Lukashenko pardons another 16 convicts
In the run-up to the Independence Day celebrations, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko pardoned 16 people who committed various offenses, including those of an extremist nature, BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.
They include 8 women and 8 men. Of them two have chronic diseases, one is disabled. Nine convicts have minor children. Three persons are over 50.
All of them repented and pledged to abide by the law.
