Ambassador calls for opening branch of Belarusian embassy in Russia's Voronezh
Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoi views it expedient to open a branch of the Belarusian embassy in Voronezh. He made the statement as he held talks with Voronezh Oblast Governor Aleksandr Gusev on 1 September, BelTA has learned.
“After becoming ambassador last year and looking into the dynamics of relations with the Russian regions, I have submitted a proposal to the Belarusian prime minister to open three new branches of the embassy, with one of them in Voronezh,” Dmitry Krutoi said.
“We should definitely open a branch of our embassy here,” he emphasized, addressing the governor. “This will help us unload our other regions and deal with our bilateral agenda in a more substantive way.”
The ambassador promised to resubmit his proposal to the Belarusian prime minister. He added that the Belarusian head of government might visit Voronezh Oblast next year.
