Belarus takes part in SCO's Traditional Medicine Forum in China's Nanchang
Belarus' Consul General in Shanghai Andrei Andreyev and Consul Konstantin Golovko represented Belarus at the SCO's Traditional Medicine Forum in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Shanghai.
The Belarusian diplomats took part in the forum and discussed Belarus-China cooperation with the leadership of Jiangxi Province and the city of Nanchang.
In an interview on a regional TV channel, Andrei Andreyev emphasized that Belarusians are familiar with Chinese traditional medicine that is seen as an effective and affordable way to stay healthy. The promotion of Chinese traditional medicine is one of the priorities of the national healthcare system. Thus, in line with a presidential decree, a new regulation on Chinese traditional medicine has been in effect in the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone since September 2023. This regulation covers issues related to the promotion of Chinese traditional medicine, provision of healthcare services, and production and import of medical devices and medicines.
The Consulate General emphasized that Belarus recognizes China's registration documents for substances used in Chinese traditional medicine and does not require additional research and other procedures.
