Belarus to host 75 Syrian children for recuperation
Belarus and Syria have reaffirmed their commitment to keep developing cooperation in social matters. This topic was discussed at a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Syria Yuri Sluka and Minister of Social Affairs and Labor of Syria Louai Emad El-Din al-Munajjid, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The parties pointed to the high potential of bilateral relations and emphasized the need to step up cooperation between the ministries of the two countries. Special attention was paid to recreation and health improvement programs for Syrian children run by Belarus,” the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.
The Syrian minister highly appreciated the Belarusian initiative to offer rehabilitation programs for Syrian children and declared his readiness to develop interdepartmental cooperation.
Yuri Sluka met with a group of 75 Syrian children who will take part in Belarus-Syria campaign From Heart to Heart at the Belarusian national children's education and recreation center Zubrenok on 19-31 May.
