Belarus-Uzbekistan regional forum kicks off in Tashkent
The 2nd Forum of Regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan is taking place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian delegation is led by Deputy Prime Minister Leonid Zayats. It also includes Agriculture and Food Minister Sergei Bartosh, Industry Minister Aleksandr Rogozhnik, Sports and Tourism Minister Sergei Kovalchuk, Education Minister Andrei Ivanets, Healthcare Minister Aleksandr Khodzhayev, heads of regions, enterprises and higher educational institutions. In total, more than 150 representatives of the regions and business of Belarus are taking part in the forum.
The forum program includes several sections. The parties will discuss cooperation in agriculture and food industry, investments and industrial cooperation, development of interaction in sports, tourism and healthcare, as well as youth policy.
The 1st Forum of Regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan was held in Minsk in July 2019.
