Chinese ambassador: Younger generations must keep historical memory

The most important duty of the younger generations is to preserve the historical memory, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Xie Xiaoyong said on the air of the Belarus 1 TV channel on 9 May, BelTA has learned.

"Celebrating Victory Day on 9 May is a very good tradition. Since this day is the memory of the victory of mankind over fascism. It is very important to keep this memory," the ambassador said. "It gives us a lesson that people should cherish peace and oppose war. I think that the most important duty of younger generations is to preserve the historical memory."
