Myasnikovich: Products of Belarusian enterprises are in demand on EAEU markets
Products of Belarusian enterprises are in demand in Russia and the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Mikhail Miasnikovich said in an interview to Belarus 1 TV Channel, BelTA has learned.
“Since I came to work as chairman of the board three years ago, I have always tried to discuss practical issues. Mutual trade in goods, which is very important for our enterprises, increased 1.4 times last year, and the volume of mutual trade increased 1.6 times in Q1 2023. This shows that the products of our companies are in demand, they are quite comfortably present in the market of Russia and the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union,” Mikhail Myasnikovich said.
In his words, the issue of public procurement had not been resolved for six years. “We worked really hard in this area, and we had to use various methods. I am pleased to see Belarusian MAZ vehicles on the streets of Moscow. This shows that the products are of high quality and, of course, this means participation in public procurement. The draft budget for 2024 (I have already received all the necessary materials) envisages RUB1.750 billion to support joint cooperation projects. The Union State Electronics can be come a program that will be implemented in the near future. It is very important, relevant and necessary,” the chairman of the Board of the EEC said.
Mikhail Myasnikovich added that he was glad that the voice of Belarus is heard and its opinion is taken into consideration. “It gives confidence that the efforts of the national government, respective national institutions and the commission will help Belarus' economy to develop steadily,” he said.
