Regulatory act to fight phishing, fake web resources in development in Belarus
A regulatory act to fight phishing and fake web resources is being developed in Belarus. Aleksandr Ringevich, Head of the Cybercrime Investigation Office of the Central Office for Counteracting Cybercrimes of the Belarusian Internal Affairs Ministry, mentioned it in BelTA's press center.
Aleksandr Ringevich said: “As for Internet resources, which are used for unlawful activities, we are aware of the problem and attention is paid to it. Work on a regulatory act is in active phase. It will address these matters and will give the appropriate rights for fighting phishing and fake Internet resources to law enforcement agencies.”
However, Belarusian law enforcement agencies even now have a special procedure in place. “We will improve this work, including the timeliness of response and our capabilities,” the Internal Affairs Ministry representative stressed.
