Belarus, Mongolia sign treaty on friendship and cooperation
Heads of state Aleksandr Lukashenko and Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh signed a treaty on friendly relations and cooperation between Belarus and Mongolia following the negotiations in Ulaanbaatar, BelTA has learned.
The negotiations resulted in 14 different documents on the development of bilateral cooperation in various areas. Apart from the treaty signed by the heads of state, the most significant is the roadmap for cooperation between Belarus and Mongolia until 2026.
Other documents include a memorandum of cooperation between the State Secretariat of the Security Council of Belarus and the office of the National Security Council of Mongolia; intergovernmental agreements on mutual recognition and exchange of driving licenses, on mutual recognition of education certificates.
The parties signed a roadmap for cooperation in education for 2024-2026.
Another roadmap is about the development of cooperation in the agricultural industry for a similar three-year period.
A treaty on cooperation in science and technology was concluded by the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia, and an agreement on cooperation in science and technology was signed with the Mongolian Academy of Sciences.
The parties signed a number of other memorandums: on cooperation in justice, tourism, environmental protection, prevention and response to emergency situations, protection of industrial property.
