Call on Belarus, Kyrgyzstan to search new common ground
Belarus and Kyrgyzstan have good relations at all levels, but we need to look for new common ground, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with Speaker of the Parliament (Jogorku Kenesh) of Kyrgyzstan Nurlanbek Shakiev, BelTA has learned.
"We have very good relations on all fronts. Both at the level of presidents and at the level of the government. We will do everything possible to help Kyrgyzstan get engaged as much as possible. This nation is very active, very advanced. I know Kyrgyzstan well. These are very smart people. Therefore, we will find new common ground. We will work with you in this direction if you are interested in it," the Belarusian leader said.
In 2022, the trade between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan totaled to $160.2 million (up by almost 65% over 2021). Belarus' major exports are meat and dairy products, timber, tractors, cars and other equipment, medicines, insulated wires and cables.
