Lukashenko sends greetings to participants and guests of Belarusian Written Language Day
Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to participants and guests of Belarusian Written Language Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"I sincerely welcome guests and participants of Belarusian Written Language Day on the hospitable land of Brest Oblast in the unique town of Ivatsevichi. This day reminds us of the importance of preserving and promoting cultural heritage and spiritual traditions of our people through books. Such values unite people and help the country thrive. Literature and the mother tongue have been and remain crucial for raising people with a strong moral compass and strengthening the national identity," the message reads.
"I am sure that Belarusians will always revere our historical heritage, preserve the inexhaustible cultural treasures of our ancestors, and strengthen the sovereignty of the state with their daily work. Respect our language and our outstanding authors who celebrated our country through their works. I sincerely wish guests and participants of the event good health, harmony and well-being, as well as new interesting meetings, success and inspiration," Aleksandr Lukashenko added.
