Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Poland

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to the people of Poland as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Despite various difficulties, our peoples have been destined to live side by side, to strengthen cooperation and friendship, common Christian and cultural heritage, as well as broad ties in various sectors. Today's geopolitical and regional upheavals, the victims of which are ordinary people, once again remind us of the high price of peace and confirm the imperative of preserving mutually respectful and good neighborly relations,” the message of greetings runs.

According to the head of state, Belarus is doing everything possible to simplify traveling, create additional opportunities for recreation, visiting relatives and friends, establishing useful economic ties.

“People-to-people diplomacy becomes stronger step by step, and the need to return to normal relations at the interstate level is growing as more Poles come to our country visa-free. I believe that soon this natural need of both societies will be realized. Minsk is ready to continue working in this direction,” Aleksandr  Lukashenko stressed.

The president wished the people of Poland strong health and happiness, and invited them to visit hospitable Belarus.
