Lukashenko sends professional holiday greetings to firefighters
Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated current and retired employees of emergency agencies on their professional holiday, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Today marks the 170th anniversary of Belarus' fire service. Its history knows many examples of heroic deeds and selfless work of brave and noble people - firefighters,” the message reads. “Building on the best traditions of its predecessors, the Emergencies Ministry of the Republic of Belarus effectively addresses important tasks – to protect life and health of people, preserve material and technical assets of the country. Belarus has created a system that promptly responds to all threats and helps those in need. This system is being constantly improved,” the message reads.
The head of state thanked the personnel of the Emergencies Ministry for their high professionalism, courage and readiness to respond to fire emergencies at any moment. “Thanks to you, Belarusians can safely live and work,” the president noted. “I express my deep respect to retired firefighters. Hard work, patriotism and devotion helped your generation create a powerful foundation for the further development of the fire and rescue service in the republic.”
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished active and retired employees of the Emergencies Ministry good health, well-being and peace. “Take care of yourselves, your loved ones and our dear Belarus!” added the head of state.
