According to the document, the National Bank will help law enforcement agencies and payment service providers to exchange information about unauthorized payment transactions and attempts to make them.
The receipt, storage, use and transfer of information about such incidents will be done through the automated incident processing system of the National Bank in compliance with the legislation on information and personal data protection.
Aleksandr Lukashenko also signed Decree No. 270 “On amending the decree of the president of the Republic of Belarus” to amend Belarus' President Decree No. 414 as of 16 October 2018 “On improving cashless payments”.
This document brought the norms and terminology of Decree No. 414 into line with the law “On payment systems and payment services” that entered into force on 27 August 2022.
The document extends its reach to non-banking organizations that provide payment services, namely direct withdrawal of money from users' electronic wallets opened by such organizations.
