Lukashenko signs off on Br1.5m appropriation to support talented youths
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed an executive order on encouraging talented young Belarusians on 13 April, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.
The president's reserve fund will allocate over Br1.5 million to the president's foundation for the social support of talented youth. The money will be spent on incentives for school students and university students, their teachers and professors, and on providing material support for intellectual and creative associations of students.
Apart from that, the executive order approved the decision of the foundation's board to award the Belarus president scholarships to 152 students and cadets of higher education institutions in recognition of their academic excellence, accomplishments in scientific research, and creative activities.
The executive order is supposed to help detect and support the most motivated and gifted students, enable conditions conducive to further development of their abilities and to successful learning.
