The Biological Safety Council is going to analyze and assess existing biological threats at its meeting chaired by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko on 10 June, BelTA has learned.
“We will focus on the analysis and assessment of existing biological threats and take stock of the developments in the external contour, primarily in the neighboring states and in the regions of our key trading partners,” the prime minister noted.
Roman Golovchenko asked the speakers to give their take on the work to implement international agreements concluded by Belarus, as well as to identify problems that need to be addressed at the national level.
In addition to that, the meeting will review the outcomes of inspections and analytical work and laboratory research of non-pathogenic genetically engineered organisms.
