Belarus Red Cross has delivered about 30 tonnes of food, 7 tonnes of water, thousands of warm clothing items and blankets to the migrants stranded on the Belarusian-Polish border for the past week, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Red Cross.
"Hundreds of concerned Belarusians have helped the people trapped on the border. We are grateful to everyone who did not stay away from their plight and who helped them with clothes, food, water," the Belarusian Red Cross said.
Three tonnes of food products, 0.5 tonnes of bakery, 760 blankets, 800 mattresses, 300 pillows, and 1,250 clothing items were distributed on 16 November. Hot meals have been organized for thousands of migrants accommodated in the logistics center.
"From 9 to 15 November, Belarus Red Cross delivered about 30 tonnes of food, 7 tonnes of water, 4,450 items of warm clothes, 1,520 blankets," it added.
