The Vitebsk Regional Union of Employers (VRUE) and Italian business associations will establish information cooperation to tighten ties between the two countries, Vladimir Turavinov, the chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Union of Employers, said as VRUE, Italy-Belarus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) and Italian Business Association Confindustria Bielorussia signed the memorandum of cooperation, BelTA has learned.
The singing ceremony wrapped up the working meeting of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee senior officials and the Italian business delegation.
"I hope that this memorandum will help boost our business cooperation," Belarus-Italy CCI Chairman of the Board Angelo Ilardi. According to him, the cooperation in trade and economy does not reflect the potential of Belarus-Italy relations. To improve the situation, businesses should engage in active dialogue, inform each other of incoming innovations, new products and market trends. "That is why our goal is to facilitate the mutual exchange of information between companies to bolster ties," Angelo Ilardi added.
According to Vladimir Turavinov, Italian partners were invited to take part in the traditional International Economic Forum "Innovations. Investments. Prospects" due in Vitebsk on 16-17 May. Plans are in place to hold business matchmaking events for Belarusian and Italian companies during the forum. The partner business associations also intend to organize workshops and conferences, to help boost investment cooperation, and set up joint ventures and companies.
