Taking into account the need to train personnel for various kinds of mass media, the media center is divided into several departments: network television, social networks, and a technological department. The media center will host seminars, practical classes involving video and photo editing, production of PR texts and journalistic texts. The center boasts modern equipment, computers for video editing and composition of various media before publishing, an interactive panel, a projector, a television set, and other kinds of equipment. The media center will also be used to implement educational projects involving leading scientists and practitioners of Belarus and China.
The opening of the media center became possible thanks to the education center Yaotian and its founder Wang Yaotian, who has been working with the Belarusian State University since 2012. Wang Yaotian has helped open an information and education center of the Belarusian State University in Beijing, a preuniversity education center of the Belarusian State University in Sanya, an information center for foreign students as part of the university's International Relations Faculty. An agreement on providing grants to Chinese students in recognition of their academic excellence and scientific accomplishments was also signed thanks to Wang Yaotian.
