The output of the main types of products at the Belarusian steel maker BMZ is higher than in the previous year, BMZ First Deputy Director General Anatoly Volkov said at the informational meeting, BelTA learned from the enterprise.
According to the deputy director general, the enterprise is making profit. The main consumers are Russian partners, to whom the enterprise ships 60% of the output. The rest is supplied to the domestic market and other countries, Anatoly Volkov said.
One of the enterprise’s advantages in the market of metal products is the possibility of product diversification. If at a certain moment the demand for one type decreases, the plant increases production and sales of another type, which is more in demand among consumers, the deputy director general said.
“BMZ products are also appreciated for their quality, which is largely ensured by qualified and competent personnel,” Anatoly Volkov said.
The public joint-stock company (OAO) BMZ, the Management Company of the holding company Belarusian Metallurgical Company (BMC), is a high-tech Belarusian metallurgical enterprise. It comprises infrastructure shops and four manufacturing divisions connected by one technological chain. The divisions focus on steel smelting, mill products, pipe products, hardware items. In 2024, the BMZ celebrated the 40th anniversary of the first steel melting.
