"Our long-term observers have been working in Belarus since 1 February. They visited all regions and noted that the CEC has done a lot of work to prepare for this event. So far, our observers have found no serious flaws and received no complaints. Preparations for the referendum are proceeding in an organized and very active manner. According to our long-term observers, I can say that all conditions have been created in Belarus for the referendum to be held at a high organizational level,” said Ilkhom Nematov.
According to him, all necessary conditions have been created for the free expression of will in the country. “Our observers see that Belarusians show a high interest in the referendum, in the changes and amendments to the Constitution,” the head of the mission stressed.
“Our short-term observers have already started arriving in Belarus. They will work in different regions of the country. They will be dealing with the issues of the preparation of the referendum before 27 February and observe the voting process on 27 February. As the head of the mission, I am set to visit some territorial and precinct commissions in the city of Minsk and Minsk Oblast. We are very much interested to see how the voting process will go,” Ilkhom
