The Eurasian Economic Commission and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives have opened applications for the first international climate contest Green Eurasia, official representative of the Eurasian Economic Commission Iya Malkina said at a briefing for the press in Moscow on 15 March, BelTA has learned.
“The purpose of the contest is to find effective climate practices and to scale them up in the Eurasian Economic Union,” said Iya Malkina.
Commercial organizations, government agencies, authorities, non-profit organizations and individuals are invited to take part.
“Participation is free. Projects are accepted in 10 categories, including clean energy and energy efficiency, clean industry, sustainable agriculture, low-carbon transport and others,” the EEC representative said.
In her words, winners will be awarded on the sidelines of the 2nd Eurasian Economic Forum, which is due to take place in May.
