The Belarusian-Vietnamese business forum was held on the margins of the Minsk City Days in Ho Chi Minh City. From the Vietnamese side, the event was attended by more than 150 companies specializing in production, export, import and distribution of imported goods in Vietnam, the National Center for Marketing told BelTA.
First Deputy Chairperson of the Minsk City Executive Committee Nadezhda Lazarevich and Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Vo Van Hoan addressed the forum participants as guests of honor.
Deputy Director of Belarus’ National Center for Marketing Evgeny Rusak made an extended presentation of the economic potential of Belarus with a focus on promising areas of business cooperation between the countries, particularly in the field of agricultural machinery and food, pharmaceuticals, and woodworking.
The forum was attended by executives of 13 Belarusian companies representing the engineering, aviation, food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and tourism sectors. On behalf of Vietnam, the forum was attended by more than 150 companies, including companies engaged in production, export, import, and distribution of imported goods in Vietnam.
“Such an increased interest from the Vietnamese business shows that there is a serious potential for expanding trade and cooperation ties between the two countries,” the marketing center stressed.
The forum was co-organized by Belarus' National Center for Marketing, the Consulate General of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City, the Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) of Ho Chi Minh City, and the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations.
