Import substitution and industrial cooperation are a common goal of Belarus and Russia within the Union State, Governor of Russia’s Pskov Oblast Mikhail Vedernikov told journalists, BelTA has learned.
Speaking about Belarus-Russia cooperation at the inter-regional and inter-state level, the governor noted that almost all industrial facilities interact with their partners from the other country. “Many managers have briefed us today on their performance. It is very important that this cooperation is mutually beneficial, that enterprises support each other, as this will give impetus to the development of industry.”
Mikhail Vedernikov named import substitution the main factor that brings Belarusian and Russian industrialists together. “Our common task is to do everything necessary for our countries within the framework of the Union State,” he emphasized.
