The First Russian-Belarusian Tourism Congress will take place in Minsk on 13-14 April, BelTA has learned.
The congress will highlight cooperation between Belarus and Russia in tourism, and discussion of the current situation in the tourism business. Particular attention is paid to proposals for further development of the tourism industry of the two countries.
Attending the business program will be representatives of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation supervising tourism issues and development of tourism infrastructure, the Standing Commission for International Affairs of the House of Representatives of the Belarusian National Assembly, the Belarusian Sports and Tourism ministry, the Belarusian Economy Ministry, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, and the Russian Embassy in Belarus. Ministers that represent the tourism industry of Russian regions are also planning to take part in the congress.
The congress will also feature heads of the largest Russian tour operators, online systems in tourism and hospitality industry, business unions.
The congress is organized by the Russian Union of Travel Industry with the support of the National Union of Tourism Industry.
