Over 6.9 million tonnes of grain, including rapeseed, has been threshed in Belarus, BelTA learned from the Agriculture and Food Ministry.
As of 11 August, 6.992 million tonnes of grain (including rapeseed) was harvested, which includes 5.936 million tonnes of cereals and leguminous crops (85.6% of the area under these crops, yields at 29.5 centners per hectare) and 1.056 million tonnes of winter rapeseed.
The regional breakdown is the following: Minsk Oblast harvested 1.895 million tonnes of grain (including rapeseed), Grodno Oblast - 1.600 million tonnes, Brest Oblast - 1.531 million tonnes, Mogilev Oblast - 750,000 tonnes, Gomel Oblast - 664,300 tonnes and Vitebsk Oblast – 552,000 tonnes.
