The Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State will hold parliamentary hearings “Promoting cooperation in tourism in the Union State” in Smolensk on 30 January, BelTA learned from the Parliamentary Assembly’s press service.
"The parliamentary hearings will focus on promoting Belarus-Russia cooperation in the tourism industry. The participants of the meeting will review the state and prospects of cooperation in the tourism industry in the Union State. They will also discuss joint efforts to develop and promote new tourist routes in order to ramp up domestic and inbound tourism in the Union State," the press service noted. Invitations to take part in the meeting were sent to members of the Parliamentary Assembly, representatives of the Standing Committee of the Union State, specialized commissions and committees of the National Assembly of Belarus and the Federal Assembly of Russia, ministries and agencies of the two countries, and heads of regional administrations of Belarus and Russia. The parliamentary hearings are stipulated by the regulations of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State. They discuss the Union State draft laws, draft concepts, draft budget, as well as other significant issues.
