State Secretary of Belarus' Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich is set to take part in the 11th international meeting of high-level representatives who oversee security issues. The meeting is due to take place in Moscow Oblast on 24-25 May, BelTA learned from the State Secretariat of the Security Council of Belarus.
The plenary session of the forum will discuss threats to international security in modern conditions, as well as problems of global food security. Panel discussions are planned to consider the functioning of the system of international information security and cooperation in combating drug trafficking.
Aleksandr Volfovich is expected to make a report at the plenary session of the forum on Belarus' approaches to peace and security issues and ways to reduce international tensions. “The head of the Belarusian delegation is expected to hold bilateral meetings with the heads of delegations of other countries on topical issues of global and regional security are planned on the sidelines of the forum,” the State Secretariat of the Security Council said.
The event will be held under the auspices of the Security Council of Russia. Attending the forum will be secretaries of security councils, national security advisors and aides of heads of state, deputy prime ministers, heads of security agencies and special services. About 90 delegations from different countries and international organizations are expected to be present at the event.
