Lukashenko praises OAO Agrokombinat Yubileiny machine yard

12.08.2024

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko visited OAO Agrokombinat Yubileiny in Orsha District on 11 August to see its machine yard. The head of state was there two years ago and gave a number of instructions on the development of the facility, BelTA has learned.

Back then a number of practical issues was discussed, including the arrangement of the site covering, the search for an optimal heating solution for the workshops in winter.

Aleksandr Firsin, director of OAO Agrokombinat Yubileyny, reported to the president that they connected the machine yard to the gas supply network, installed infrared radiators, and built showers. In other words, comfortable conditions have been created for people who work there.

“The place looks very good," the president praised the results.

A similar approach was used to spruce up another, smaller machine yard on the farm. The issue was approached from the point of view of efficiency and reasonable economy.

“We are going to provide maintenance services here. Diagnostics will be provided there. This door on the left leads to what is going to be a modern paint booth,” the head of the farm said taking the president on a tour around the grounds. “These facilities are used to store harvesters and all imported machinery. They are kept here in winter.”

“Everything is under the roof,” the head of state said.

The director of the agrokombinat continued to show how much had changed since the previous visit of the head of state: "Here is the warehouse. There is still work to be done inside but it is just finishing touches. There is a small electrical repair shop. We have a place for turner there."

"I see, you have proper repair workshops. Everything is well illuminated," the president responded.

Aleksandr Firsin said that now the machine yard is busy doing scheduled maintenance of forage harvesting equipment.

"The place is amazing," the head of state once again praised the results.

He emphasized that this experience should be scaled up. "He has the main machine yard and two more small ones in former farms. He has not ruined them, fenced them in, put them in order. Some machinery can be stored there. Some minor repairs. But the main activities with machinery are carried out here [at the central machine yard]," the Belarusian leader concluded. “You have to be smart, like he is. He has gradually built up his farm expanding, adding things. And the result is good. But, most importantly, there is a place to learn. Other executives can come and learn how to do things. The main things are a machine yard, a grain facility, complexes. You cannot do without them. This is the backbone of the farm.”
