Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated John Dramani Mahama on his election as President of Ghana, BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.
"The voting results testify to the high level of people’s trust in you and the National Democratic Congress Party. I am confident that your work as the leader of the state will contribute to the country’s prosperity, the well-being of citizens, and Ghana's standing in the international arena," the congratulatory message reads.
The Belarusian leader reaffirmed commitment to promoting long-term strong ties between the two countries for the benefit of their peoples. He also emphasized the significant potential of Belarus-Ghana cooperation in agriculture, food security, manufacturing industry, healthcare, science and education.
The president hoped for further enhancement of the traditionally friendly bilateral relations between Belarus and Ghana. He invited Ghana’s president to come to Minsk on an official visit any time convenient for him.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished John Dramani Mahama good health, happiness and success in his responsible state post.
